Freshlinq’s donation brings joy to Vutlhari Hospice and Disability Centre

Kindness and generosity have the power to bring smiles and hope to those who need it most, and on Friday, May 24, 2024, Freshlinq Mooketsi, Freshlinq Louis Trichardt, in partnership with RSA Mooketsi visited the Vutlhari Hospice and Disability Centre in Sekgosese to donate fruits and vegetables.

We at Freshlinq Mooketsi and Louis Trichardt identified the needs of the Vutlhari Centre through the local newspaper SekgoseseVoice and decided to help in any way we could.

Vutlhari Hospice and Disability Centre serves as a sanctuary for disabled individuals and those in desperate need of care. The centre offers shelter and comprehensive support for those whose families are unable to provide the necessary care and resources. The donation event was attended by community members, parents of the centre’s residents, representatives of the Ga-Mamaila Kolobetona Tribal Authority, the SekgoseseVoice team, and Freshlinq Operations Manager, Raymond Hattingh.

The event’s primary goal was not only to provide much-needed fruits and vegetables to the residents but also to empower and promote the rights of persons with disabilities. It aimed to foster a society where people with disabilities can fully participate, aligning with the spirit of Youth Day, which we commemorated on 16 June.

Raymond Hattingh, the Operations Manager of Freshlinq, reiterated the company’s commitment to supporting the Vutlhari Centre, stating, “We are donating fruits and vegetables to the centre in conjunction with Freshlinq branches. We thank Mr. Pheko Baloyi, the founder and manager of Vutlhari Centre, for the incredible work he and his team do and wish them good luck. I am sure that this will not be the last time we support them.” This reassurance of ongoing support is a testament to Freshlinq’s dedication to the community.
